who we are

Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 21 is a Craft Union representing members employed in the construction industry. We work on everything from single family homes to nuclear power plants. From high rise buildings to high purity installations, schools, hospitals, and factories. From large industrial and commercial facilities to residential homes and developments. If its piping work, we do it!

But it's so much more than that. Installation, service, estimation, Computer Aided Drafting (CAD), supervision and management are all provided by Local 21 and our signatory contractors.

At Local 21, our role in the community is more than a job, it's a career which provides benefit to the society in which we live, and it's right here at your fingertips.

Our workforce takes pride in partnering with our signatory contractors to deliver sophisticated piping systems to the end user which are so important to the infrastructure of our community.

We do it right the first time, so when Medical Providers in the Hudson Valley build new or expand existing facilities, they call on the skilled members of Local 21. The complicated medical gas installations are a vital piece of life saving equipment, along with equally important commodities such as steam systems, potable water systems, and comfort piping systems. These systems are necessary to support the facilities which ensures public safety and saves lives.

Steamfitting/Pipefitting

For 125 years, the UA has trained steamfitters/pipefitters to meet the evolving needs of our industry; we are proud of the state-of-the-art training we provide our members, including the latest certifications and instruction in cutting-edge technologies and new trends in the many areas in which we work.
